By our distrust of His goodness and disobedience of His instructions, we have separated ourselves from Him and exchanged the abundant life He gave us for selfishness, conflict, fear, loneliness, sadness, suffering, and death, but God loved us so much that He sent His Son to rescue us by leading us back to Himself. We can be adopted as His children. Jesus lived as a man, sharing every weakness and temptation we experience, but without any failure. He willingly surrendered His life and died to demonstrate God’s love for us. He conquered distrust and death and He lives forever to give us eternal life, filling us with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control.
